Née à Duiven, aux Pays-Bas, Marloes ten Bhömer a étudié le Design Produit à la Higher School of Arts Arnhem puis au Royal College of Arts de Londres. Elle crée depuis des modèles très avant-gardistes de chaussures, pliant le cuir, le contraignant pour trouver des nouvelles formes. Son vocabulaire de formes est très loin des conventions et traditions de la chaussure, ses propositions sont de véritables architectures, créant un nouveau langage.
Son travail a été exposé à Londres, Tokyo, en Allemagne et aux Pays-Bas. Elle est maintenant en train de créer sa propre marque de chaussures MARLOESTENBHÖMER.

Born in Duiven, Nederlands, Marloes ten Bhömer studied Product Design at the Higher School of Arts Arnhem and at the Royal College of Arts of London. She since creates very avant-garde shoes, folding and constraining leather to find new shapes. Her language of forms is very far away from the conventions and traditions of shoe making, her proposals are true architectures, thus creating a new language.
Her work has been exhibited in London, Tokyo, Germany, and the Netherlands. She is currently setting up her independant shoe label MARLOESTENBHÖMER.
